This is the first time that John has visited us as far as I am aware. He is editor of the Magazine which was the result of a merger of "Acorn Publisher" and the "Acorn User" Magazines. The magazine contains all the latest info on RISCOS as well as articles on desktop publishing, digital photography networking, programming etc. as well as advertising.
I am sure this will be a very good talk and one not to be missed!
I was very pleased that so many of you were able to come to the Boathouse. It was very easy to find with ample parking. A very pleasant and congenial evening was had by all with unusual and very tasty food.
The weather was beginning to break after the hot spell and so were were not able to browse around outside to see the river, but the interior and cosy atmosphere made up for that. We had a bit of mathematics to accomplish to analyse the bill but got there in the end. We were the last customers to leave!
We must go again sometime - soon! Certain photographic evidence of the proceedings is shown below.

I hope you have all had a good holiday this summer and I am looking forward to seeing you all next week for the beginning of our winter programme.

Following on from a brief discussion at the last club meeting it has been agreed that I should remove a lot of the old newsletters from the website and archive them to CD/DVD. I'll probably not do this before the end of February. If anyone would like a copy of the CD I'm sure this could be arranged.
I am open to suggestions on what people would like to have included in the new website. Our website URL is
