Latest update: 23rd July 2005
Members and prospective members of all ages, including Juniors, must note that the Club takes part in a physical and competitive sport and that all individuals participate entirely at their own risk.Consequently each individual - and the parents of Juniors - are strongly advised to consider taking out personal injury insurance.
This may by done, for example, the insurance department of England Hockey (Tel 01908 544644).
Our qualified Umpires and Coaches are insured for 3rd party liability, when undertaking the normal duties of an umpire or club coach during matches, club coaching sessions and related activities.
All our Level 1 umpires and L1(Training) umpires are registered as members of the Suffolk County Hockey Umpires Association (SCHUA) and are insured for public liability risks through a common policy with a major insurance company and administrated by the SCHUA President, John Wilkinson (Tel 01473-715495).
IES Coaches who offer 'external' coaching support, such as managing/coaching a County junior squad, should take out insurance available from the National Coaching Foundation or England Hockey, as the club policy does not cover such activities.
