Wish Upon A Star >>
In Wish Upon a Star, Danielle plays Hayley Wheaton, a grungy, extremely intelligent though in need of love, social-outcast (not negatively but just not cliquey). However, her sister Alexia (Katherine Heigl) is a cliquey, social icon, who is dating Kyle (Don Jeffcoat), the dream-lover of Hayley. Hayley, upset with her present state of life, made more apparent as she looks below to her sister and her boyfriend in the Jacuzzi, in the mood to experience the other side of life, wishes upon a star while doing her homework to be her sister Alexia. The wish comes true and Hayley is excited to have the opportunity to live this lifestyle whereas Alexia (now in Hayley form) is upset beyond belief. This is a definite have, although the story line is old, there are some wonderful moments and it is entertaining as a whole. Hayley enjoys her new life but comes to long for her old one, knowing that a life that is not her own is not worth having. The best parts of this movie include the time that she is ill, from the faint onward to the eating scenes, and cookies with Simon, etc. (Her fall at the beginning of the film as she is late for Astronomy class always makes me bust a gut laughing.) Her hicky scene, temper tantrum, and revenge Madonna stuff, although mildly predictable are extremely enjoyable nonetheless.
