Synopsis: When the girl that detective Joe Hallenback is protecting gets murdered, the boyfriend of the murdered girl (ex-football player Jimmy Dix) attempts to investigate and solve the case. What they discover is that there is deep seeded corruption going on between a crooked politician and the owner of a pro-football team.
My Review: I would have to say that this is my favourite action movie ever. Why don't they make them like this any more? Nice simple plot, decent script with enough twists and exciting moments to keep us awake, and some good actors to fill the characters' shoes. It can't be that hard!
The pairing of sober Bruce Willis with the very witty Damon Wayans made for a priceless duo, and the interaction between the two throughout the movie is excellent as both actors successfully portray two men from different ends of the spectrum. Danielle Harris doesn't appear for a good forty minutes of the movie, but when she eventually does show up, she steals the spotlight for the rest of the film. Unlike many "kids" in action films, the cops daughter is used as an integral and necessary character in the movie rather than being an incidental person who shows a particular side of the lead. Not only does Danielle steal the show for enthusiasm and wit, she also gets to spew more obscene language than Willis and Wyans combined! Now that's something!
