Molly Tilden (Danielle Harris) came on along with her sister on the show Charlotte (Mara Hobel) to parallel the relationship between Roseanne (Roseanne) and her sister Jackie (Laurie Metcalf.) Charlotte was supposed to be the kinder-submissive version of Roseanne whereas Molly was the equally gullible and in desperate need of love, sleep-with-anybody-who-feigns-interest version of Jackie. Molly, who had the potential to be an interesting character, was lost under the naiveté that was the base of her character. While at a concert she was willing to get in a van of guys who were complete strangers to her and Darlene (Sara Gilbert.) Inclusively, Darlene made it a point to ridicule Molly at any chance she got, even teasing her with a "we could be best friends" bit which lights up Molly's face only to be crushed under Darlene's sarcastic "Oh my God, you actually think that could happen." Though, I bet Darlene wouldn't have been able to survive the same stuff Jamie Lloyd did in the Halloween movies.
