I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER 3

Opens on a rainy night and with Ford Explorer racing down a suburban road and
a Cherokee Jeep not far behind.  The person driving the Explorer is panicked.
Inside the car he tries to call the police.

Receptionist-
911, what is your emergency?

Kevin (man driving explorer)-
Yeah, there, there's someone trying to run me off the
road right now! (he says in a freaked and panicked
voice)

Receptionist-
Remain calm, what is your location?

Kevin-
I'm on I ninety-seven headed towards my house.

Receptionist-
Where is your house located, Sir?

All the receptionist hears now is a dial tone.

Kevin-
Dang, it died!

Cut to:

Kevin gets home and slams on the breaks in his
driveway causing his car to slide on his mud caked
driveway.  He gets out and starts running, he slips
but doesn't fall on his way to the door.  The Cherokee
flies up the driveway next. Kevin reaches the door but
it is locked.  A man wearing a slicker steps out of
the jeep.  Kevin is starting to worry that he won't
get the door open. He drops his keys but recovers
them.  The slicker man starts walking slowly towards
Kevin.  The slicker man gets closer by the second.
Kevin finally gets a key to fit the lock.  The slicker
man raises a meat hook at Kevin and swings at him.
Kevin gets the door open and goes in before the hook
could get him.  He slams the door in the slicker man's
face.  Kevin goes to retrieve a weapon while the
slicker man tries to knock the door down.

Cut to: Kevin returning to the door with a fire pick.
Kevin hides behind the door instead of in front of it.
The door comes flying open and the slicker man steps
in.  Kevin jumps from behind the door and swings the
pick at the man.  The man catches it before it hits
him.  Kevin drops the pick and starts running towards
the back door. Kevin slips in the hallway on his wet
wooden floor.

Cut to: the killer walking towards Kevin in the
hallway. Kevin gets up and runs out the back door,
the killer shortly after. Kevin stops to catch his
breath at a gate on top of a big hill. While Kevin is
bent over breathing the killer surprises him by
grabbing him. They both loose their footing and fall
through the gate and down the hill. The killer and
Kevin are arm in arm the whole way down. When they
hit the bottom Kevin's nose is bleeding. He gets up
and tries to run for it, but the killer grabs his leg
and he falls again. The killer pulls Kevin's leg
bringing him closer to him. The killer, still on the
ground, grabs Kevin's throat and raises his hook. 
Kevin, with the bit of energy he has, kicks the killer
between the legs. The killer falls back in pain. 
Kevin gets back up on his feet and heads toward a barn
in his back yard. (there are no houses within 2 miles
of Kevin's house) Kevin closes the doors behind him. 
The killer gets up on his feet and heads in barn's
direction.  

Cut to: Kevin in the barn searching for a place to
hide. He hears the killer trying to open the barn
doors. Kevin is breathing hard and is exhausted from
the fall. The rain is beginning to pour now.

Cut to: The killer beginning to shred the doors down. 
Kevin is starting to worry that the killer might find
him now. The doors come open, and the killer steps in
looking around.  Kevin tries to control his breathing
but can't.  The killer hears him breathing.  He begins
to walk towards Kevin. Kevin is hiding behind a
tractor.  Kevin knows the killer is coming, he runs
for it again. He heads towards the ladder that leads
to the second story of the barn. The killer sees Kevin
head to the ladder.  A few steps up the ladder, the
killer grabs Kevin's leg and pulls him off it.  Kevin
hits the ground landing on his back knocking the wind
out of him.  The killer looks down at Kevin, Kevin
knows he is done for.  The killer raises his hook and
delivers.

Cut to:
title card "I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER 3"

Cut to: The next day Catrina's house.
We pan in on a ringing phone. A hand reaches down for
it, its Catrina.

Catrina-
Hello.

We can't hear the other person.

Catrina-
Yeah, ok, bye.  Katy, come here for a minute.

Katy comes running.

Katy-
Yeah, what do you want?

Catrina-
Kevin was killed last night.

Katy-
Are you serious?

Catrina-
Yes, and I think someone knows.

Katy-
You mean, what we did last summer?

Catrina-
Yeah, I'm afraid so.

Cut to: Catrina and Katy walking up to a group of
teenagers.  Two teens break from the rest and walk
over to Katy and Catrina.  The two are Sean and Mike.

Sean-
Hey, how's it going?

Mike-
Yeah, same here.

Catrina-
Listen guys, Kevin was killed last night.

Mike and Sean-
What, are you serious?

Katy-
Yeah, they found him in his barn on the floor.  And
that's not all.on the hay shoot above his body, the
killer wrote, "I KNOW."

Mike-
How does this even relate to what we did?

Katy-
Oh, I don't know, "I KNOW", don't ya get it?

Mike-
No.

Katy-
"I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER."

Sean-
There's no way anyone could know, we were so careful.

Catrina-
Obviously, not careful enough.

Cut to: last summer after a high school party on the
4th of July.  The five of them, including Kevin, were
leaving the party.

Katy is walking outside, around the house.  Inside the
house, Sean and Mike are getting their coats to leave.
 Catrina is looking for Katy.

Catrina-
Katy, come on babe, let's go.

Cut to: Katy outside.

Katy (outside, to herself)-
Uh, what's that?

Katy sees someone in the distance.
Cut to: Catrina walking around the house to Katy.

Catrina-
Katy, there you are, I've been.

Katy interrupts.

Katy-
Shh, I see someone.

Catrina-
Who is it?

Katy-
I don't know.  Stay here while I go get Sean, Mike,
and Kevin.

Catrina-
Ok, but hurry back.

Cut to: Katy walking into the house and spotting Mike
on the couch.

Katy-
Mike, come outside and see this, there's a man walking
outside in the field, he might be drinking.

Mike-
What's the big deal, it's just a man.

Katy-
But still, please come outside.pretty please?

Mike-
Awe, all right, but let me get Sean and Kevin, there
in the back of the house dancing with the girls.

Cut to: Mike walking through a door of beads into the
dance room.

Mike-
Sean, Kev, you guys in here?

Sean-
Yeah, here we are?

Sean and Kevin both come walking up to him with sodas
in their hands.

Kevin-
What's goin on? Is everything all right?

Mike-
Yeah, it's just that Katy and Catrina saw someone
outside and want us to check it out.

Kevin-
Well, let's go see who it is.

Cut to: The three men walking outside to Catrina and
Katy.

Mike-
So, where's this guy you seen?

Katy-
I don't know, he was walking, then I lost him behind
some trees over there.

Sean-
Well, let's go check it out.

Mike-
You girls stay here, we'll be right back.

Cut to: the three guys walking through weeds and
sticker bushes to the trees where the guy was last
seen. The three get there.

Mike-
Uh, where'd he go?

Kevin yells to the girls.

Kevin-
Yo, Catrina, Katy, there's no one here.

The three begin to walk back when they hear a noise in
the bushes.  The noise sounds like someone running
through tall weeds.  Mike spots it with his
flashlight.  It's a man.  The man begins running away.
 The three chase after.  The man disappears in the
fog.

Sean-
Awe, give it up, were not gonna catch him in these
conditions.

Cut to: the three walking back through the field to
the girls.

Sean-
We couldn't catch him.  He disappeared in the fog. 
We'll wait till morning and we'll come back and see if
he's still here.

Cut to: The five getting into a BMW and preparing to
leave.  Kevin is driving.

Kevin-
You all ready? Got everything? Here we go.

The BMW begins pull out of the driveway. (the driveway
is about a quarter mile long) The turn around and
begin to ride down the driveway to the road.  Katy and
Mike are fooling around in the back seat.  Kevin drops
his drink and bends down to pick it up not watching
the road.

Cut to: about twenty yards ahead, a man is stumbling
across the road, drunk.  The five don't see him
because it is foggy out. 

Catrina is sitting up front with Kevin.  The BMW gets
closer and closer to the man. Catrina sees the man.

Catrina-
Kevin, look out!

Kevin lifts his head and sees the man. He tries to
swerve, but hits the man.  The car goes to an
immediate stop.  The five get out.

Mike-
Jeez, come on man, what are we gonna do now?

Sean, Katy, and Catrina are silent.

Kevin-
Don't worry, we'll get rid of the body.

Sean-
Are you crazy?

Kevin-
Think about it.  No one knows this man.  The police
won't find out for weeks, if ever.

Mike-
Dude, I'm sorry, but I don't think I can do it.

Katy-
Well, think about it, we cold get away with it.

Catrina-
Well, if were gonna do this, we better do it now.

The five presume the man is dead and lift him up. 
They carry him to the curve and drop him.  The man
begins to roll down the hill before coming to a stop
at the bottom.  The five get in the car and drive
away.  

Cut to: the bottom of the hill where the man lay.   

Cut to: the five in the car.

Kevin-
Now, we never tell anyone about this, agreed? 

The all reply with "agree".

Cut to: the bottom of the hill where the man stands up
and looks up the hill towards the road.

INT. SCHOOL-1 YEAR LATER-AFTERNOON-

Sean-
I still don't see how anyone could know.

Mike-
Me neither.

Katy-
Well, it's a possibility.

Catrina-
Than why would they kill Kevin first, or kill at all?

Sean-
I don't know.

CUT TO: MIKE'S HOUSE-EVENING-

The phone rings.

Mike-
Hello.

Caller-
I know.

Mike-
You know what?

Caller-
I know what you did last summer.

The caller hangs up. Mike hears dial tone.

Mike dials Sean's number. Someone answers.

Mike-
Hello, Sean?

Sean-
Yeah.

Mike-
Someone just called me.

Sean-
So.

Mike-
They know.

Sean-
What do you mean they know?

Mike-
He knows what we did.

Sean-
Listen, gather up Katy and Catrina and meet me at the
football field. 

Mike-
Okay. 

CUT TO: INT. FOOTBALL FIELD-SUNSET-

Sean- 
Okay, now that were all here we can talk. Someone is
on to us and wants us dead.

Katy-
Why would they want us dead?

Sean-
I don't know! It doesn't make sense!

Catrina-
Well, maybe there's a back story, maybe we missed
something. How do we even know he was dead?

Sean-
If he was alive don't you think he would kill us
already?

Catrina-
He did kill Kevin.

Mike-
I got a phone call.

Sean-
How do we know Kevin's death was related? Or that his
phone call was nothing more than a prank? Uh, how do
we know?

Catrina-
We don't know. But these things don't happen randomly.
He chooses them. He's got us whipped. We can't go to
the cops. We'll get arrested for hit and run.

Sean-
So what do we do? Just sit here and see whose offed
next?

Catrina-
I got an idea. 

Mike-
Let's hear it.

Catrina-
My parents have a cabin out in the woods.  We can go
there for the weekend. It's the perfect place. No one
knows it's there.

Mike-
Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go.

CUT TO: INT. CABIN-MIDNIGHT-RAIN SHOWER-

The four get to the cabin with bags and umbrellas.
