VICTIM #1
 Name: David Egan
Stance in movie: David was Ben Willis' daughter's former boyfriend.
Memorable Quote: He doesn't speak in the movie.
What happened: David Egan is killed off-screen at the very beginning of the movie by Ben Willis. One year previously, he had been involved with a girl called Suzi Willis when the two had a car crash in which Suzi was killed. Suzi's father, Ben Willis (a local fisherman) held David responsible for his daughter's death, and so was out for revenge. On July 4th 1996, David was sitting on the edge of the cliffs near Reapers Curve, drinking beer and clutching a medallion which read "I Love You", when Ben knocked him off the edge of the cliff. His body was later found in the ocean, and he is the man that Julie believes they knocked over when she hears about David on the news.
VICTIM #2
 Name: Max Evans
Stance in movie: Max was an old friend of Julie's.
Memorable Quote: "You can wipe that my-shit-don't-stink grin off your face."
What happened: Max is who Barry suspects at first of sending Julie the letter, as he was 'there' the night that the four friends hit and kill the man, although Max was obviously oblivious to what they had done. Ben Willis finds his trademark killing weapon when he attacks Max, using a large hook used to gut fish. He shoves the hook through Max's throat and drags him across steaming hot pans. He is later found in the trunk of Julie's car covered in crabs.
VICTIM #3
 Name: Barry Cox
Stance in movie: Barry was a close friend of Ray's, and Helen's boyfriend - before the accident, after which they lost touch.
Memorable Quote: "'I Know What You Did Last Summer'?! What a crock of shit!"
What happened: I'm sure that many people breathed a sigh of satisfaction when Barry was offed! I mean, he was the main person who got all four of them into this mess. But then, I don't really think he deserved what he got - beneath that brutish exterior, there really was a nice person. Anyway, his death. Barry was watching Helen Shivers as she was on stage at the annual Croaker Queen contest, resplendent in her crown. Incidentally, he was in almost exactly the same spot as he had been one year previously. Just when one of the new Croaker Queen contestants gets up onto the stage and starts singing, Helen looks up from her seat on stage and sees the Fisherman looming behind Barry on the balcony above. She leaps from her seat, screaming for people to help Barry, but it's too late as the Fisherman pushes Barry to the floor and starts to hack at him with the hook. Later, as Julie is being chased through Ben Willis' boat in the films climax, she finds Barry's body (alongside Helen's) in a room full of ice where the fish would normally be kept.
VICTIM #4
 Name: 'Policeman'
Stance in movie: He was giving Helen a ride home after Barry's disappearance.
Memorable Quote: "And did this fisherman use the same hook to cut off all your hair?!"
What happened: After Helen is done with the screaming when she sees the Fisherman kill Barry up on the balcony, this policeman takes her up to the balcony to show her that nothing is the matter. He then offers to drive her home - a matter in which she has no choice. On the way, the policeman mocks Helen's theory that Barry was killed with a guy with a hook. As they drive, they come across a road block, and so they are forced to take the alley. The policeman spots someone who appears to be having trouble with their car, so he stops the car and gets out to see if he can help. Big mistake. The guy who appears to be working on his car is actually the Fisherman, and the policeman has the hook shoved into his stomach and wrenched upwards.
VICTIM #5
 Name: Elsa Shivers
Stance in movie: Elsa was Helen's sister.
Memorable Quote: "Is the washed-up, dried-out has-been having a moment?"
What happened: Who would've thought that Elsa would get mixed up with all of this? When Helen is being chased through the now deserted streets of Southport by the Fisherman, Elsa is working late, and for once is able to help her little sister by letting her into the shop and helping her escape the Fisherman. As Helen runs upstairs to call the police, Elsa goes to the back of the shop to lock up the back door... but she is too late for the Fisherman has already snuck inside. Elsa locks the door, too late realising just who is standing in the shadows, and when she turns to face the impostor, the Fisherman slashes her throat with the hook. Elsa is then dragged through the shop to the bathroom and dumped in the corner, where Helen finds her later on.
VICTIM #6
 Name: Helen Shivers
Stance in movie: Helen was one of the four who knocked Ben down. She was Barry's girlfriend and Julie's best friend.
Memorable Quote: "When Jodi Foster did this a scary serial killer answered the door."
What happened: Poor Helen, she was so close to surviving and yet she just didn't have it in her to make it. She just had to turn back in paranoia instead of running straight for the crowd didn't she? After Helen has found her sister's corpse in the bathroom, she is chased through the Shivers' shop by the Fisherman. She manages to get upstairs via an old pully-elevator, but the Fisherman meets her up there by taking the stairs. Helen is forced to climb out of a window onto a ledge, but to escape the Fisherman's hook, so leaps off the ledge and lands in a dumpster below. Now in the back-streets of Southport, Helen can hear the celebrations still going on in the main street, so she runs towards the noise. Unfortunately for her, she is so shaken up from her encounter that every movement in the alley scares her senseless. So when she is almost to safety she hears something and turns round to see what it was. Nothing there. When she turns back she is faced with the Fisherman and is slashed to death with the hook in the alley - so close to safety. Helen's body is later found by Julie aboard Ben Willis' boat (Sweet Suzie), alongside Barry's.
