When Amy is peering through the doorway at Travis, and we see someone in a parka coat walking towards her back, this is a reference back to the first movie in which the killer donned a parka coat.

In a weird twist of fate, Jessica Chauffiel (who played 'Sandra', Amy's best friend in "UL2") will be starring in the upcoming slasher flick "Valentine", which is directed by none other than "Urban Legend"'s Jamie Blanks!

After the initial ending sequence of the movie, we cut to a scene in a mental hostpital which shows "UL2"'s killer being wheeled down a corridor by our one and only Rebecca Gayheart, who played the killer in the original "Urban Legend". This links the two "Urban Legend" movies together even though they are not direct sequels linked by all main characters.

Director John Ottman provided voices for some of the "Merry Miners" in the Tunnel of Terror sequence of the film.

Anthony Andersom (Stan in "UL2") ad-libbed many of his comical lines, which actually made it into the final print of the movie.

The secondary camera crew of "UL2" had cameos as the camera crew of Amy's movie in the penultimate scene of the movie.

John Ottman had a small cameo in the film as a mental patient in the corridor that Brenda walks through. He is the man who is scratching his eyebrow(!).

The dog in the kidney scene involving Jacinda Barrett was apparently extremely friendly, and refused to eat the sheep kidney that was passed off as Barrett's.

Posters from the movies "The Angry Red Planet", "The Brain That Wouldn't Die", "Touch of Evil", "Bug" and "King Rat" were all featured in the movie.

A photo of John Ottman's parents can be seen on the desk in Prof. Solomon's office.

Many shots or scenes in the film were nods back to Ridley Scott's "Alien", which John Ottman views as the ultimate text book on how to make a scary movie. To name a few: the title of the film appears letter-by-letter like "Alien", a scene in which 'Amy' runs down a sewer with steam and strobing yellow lights is similar to when Sigourney Weaver was trying to escape the Nostromo, and the Tunnel of Terror scene also includes strobe light effects in a similar way to many scenes in "Alien".

Jessican Cauffiel's character in UL2 is killed, but everyone thinks she's doing a ER spot. In Valentine, she is killed and everyone thinks she's away at Los Angeles. Coincidence?
