Aims of the Class

This ensemble rehearses pieces mainly from the Philip Jones series

of arrangements and original compositions dealing with all aspects of

advanced brass playing. The repertoire places quite different demands

on the players than they would experience in Brass Band, Wind Band,

Big Band or Orchestra. The players play individual parts which enables

them to hear more clearly their own contribution to the ensemble.
