Aims of the Class

This course is for beginners up to Grade 3. It aims to teach various styles of
playing including freestroke, restroke and chord work.
The reading and understanding of elementary music and musical terms
associated with the guitar are covered and students work towards step 1 & 2
of London College of Music examination syllabus.
The music studied would enable students to take Associated Board
Examinations if they wish.

Throughout the term students will participate in duets and ensemble pieces
with the rest of the class and there are regular performance opportunities.
