What happened after Sister Sister?
Here's the real life lowdown on the twins!
Tia is the younger of the
twins by a whole two minutes! Their birthdate is July 6th,1978.
They are both born under the star sign Cancer although neither of
them are big believers in horoscopes. They're both 5' 5'' (
5'6" with heels on!) and have black hair and brown eyes.
They do have a lot in common obviously, being identical twins, but they do have a few major differences in some areas. For example, Tamera tells us :
"I am messy. Not really really messy, but I'm not
as neat as Tia. She's so neat ! When I go in her closet she has
all her pants in one place, her shirts in another, it's all very
tidy! Whereas I'm like 'Whatever.' You look in my room and it
looks neat enough but if you dared to look under my bed or in my
closet, oh what a mess!".
Tia says there's also a slight difference in personality when it comes to meeting strangers:
"I think that you may find that Tamera's a little
more vibrant and energetic, but I'm much more likely to go up to
a person and say, "Hi, I'm Tia, nice to meet you".
Wheras Tamera is like...well ...she's a little shy. She's down to
earth. I'm more extroverted and she's more introverted when
meeting people. Even with a fan I'll be like, "Hi! How are
you! How are ya doing?" and Tamera's in the back thinking,
"Let's see if this person's okay, then I'll come".
That's how she is. I take the first step."
Fashion
Despite the differences in their respective
closets the girls both share a love of clothes and fashion.
Strangely perhaps although they do have some outfits by big name
designers like Versace, Gucci, etc, they both have a big liking
for clothes from The Gap and Benetton. They say that's due to the
fact that you can colour co-ordinate almost all of their outfits
- a fashion sense they inherited from their mother. As Tia says:
"That definitely came from my mother. Because she's like, an awesome dresser. So it started when we were two. If you see a picture of us, we had fur coats and everything when we were young. Accessories from head to toe."
There's a practical reason, too, for some of the great
hats you'll see the girls wearing, apart from looking great they
save a lot of time in make-up when their hair has to be just
right as Tamera tells us :
"I love hats. I've probably got about 36 of them. I wear them a lot especially when it's raining. Sometimes our hair is blow-dried straight so if you add water, " she laughs," it'll curl up in a second, so hats are a very good idea!" She also says, "We're both into runway fashion, and personally I want to model on the runway soooo bad! I'd love to walk the catwalk! I just want to walk that walk."
