The poster incorporates one of three works by DON and this image is "Queen's Tears". It's in a small edition and keenly priced. Don had a suit with his name spray painted across the back.   Neverwork's piece caught my eye because it was recognisable photography of French police, confirmed by the red graffiti MAI 68. Overpriced. May 1968   It's a really nice opening night, of course the gallery is chock-a-block with artists and friends. A generally much higher standard than Brick Lane and the Whitechapel, really.

This new gallery is a great improvement to the community

Robin from Blackpool was the evening's expert.

The star of the show is sculptor 'Stormhead' whose insights are well thought through and attractive. Baghdad Clown Town above. The Scrabble game should be in Tate Britain for the Turner Prize.

Detail of Grafter's 'Flash' stencilled and sprayed on a wooden pallet

If this is Urban Art I wonder what would happen if the same people were relocated in a rural setting? Imagine Grass Roots of Constable Country.

So much is reworked, recycled imagery. A great deal of technical skill is displayed but refinements of composition let some works down.
