An Evening with INSIDE OUT at the Killyhevlin
Hotel
INSIDE OUT- one of Northern Ireland's most enduring and
popular Contemporary Gospel bands will be releasing their fourth album entitled
"Days to Come" at the Killyhevlin Hotel on Saturday 18th
January. The new album has been released through "New Music"
which is based just outside London, although the boys recorded the album
themselves in their purpose built studio close to Portadown.
Not only did
INSIDE OUT record and engineer the album, but also penned all but three of the
its fifteen tracks. Colin Elliott, the band's vocalist and
guitarist explains, "We had the opportunity of a distribution deal
through New Music but they required the album fairly quickly so really we ended
up writing the album to order. This was a whole new way of working and it was a
real challenge to each of us. It has been very rewarding to see the whole
project finished and we are delighted with the finished
product."
INSIDE OUT was formed nearly nine years ago out of an
existing group called LIVE ISSUE. The four members Colin Elliott, Dale Gordon,
David McCartney and Mark Corry have been with INSIDE OUT from the beginning and
this fact illustrates the commitment and dedication that these boys show.
Dale Gordon plays keyboards in the band and he explained more about the
work of INSIDE OUT. "Our main aim is to allow God to use our
talents to spread the 'good news' of Jesus Christ. We all
enjoy working together in this way and find the band extremely rewarding. We
look upon recording as an extension of our live ministry and hope that our music
can be heard by those who wouldn't normally attend church or any other
Christian event."
INSIDE OUT play regularly throughout Northern
Ireland and the Republic and have also toured extensively in America in recent
years. They are always warmly received wherever they go.
To release
their new album, the band is holding a two hour concert in the Killyhevlin Hotel
in Enniskillen. Also appearing as INSIDE OUT's special guests are
Joanne Green, a very talented singer and Gerald Titmus who will be acting as
MC.
The evening has been planned in association with Tempo Coffee Bar and
will take place on Saturday 18th January at 8pm. There will be no entrance
charge to the event but there will be a freewill collection in aid of Tempo
Coffee Bar and of course the new CD will be on sale at a special reduced rate of
£10.
If you enjoy Contemporary Gospel Music then this is surely an
evening not to be missed!
