Lapland in the winter is a truly magical place with its very short days,
incredibly clean air, the most beautifully coloured skies during the day, the
possibility of seeing the Northern Lights and finally the absolutely amazing
winter scenery & landscapes. This unbelievable trip offers a Winter
Activity Week in Finland,
doing all the things that you would imagine. This is a truly memorable week,
ideal for everybody, including Children. Purely for safety reasons though,
children under 12 are not permitted to take control of their own Husky Team or
if they are under 16, drive their own Snowmobile. Children are still involved
though as they are carried as passengers with their parents or with one of the
guides who accompany every activity.

Accommodation each night is at the Harrinivan
Centre in really cosy log-cabin type rooms, all of which are en-suite. The only
exception is during the 2-day Husky trip, when the night is spent at a log
cabin deep in the wilderness. The whole trip is Full Board from your arrival at
the centre.
As you can appreciate, Lapland
can get very cold which although this gives it its unique character can make it
very uncomfortable. The people who live in Lapland
have a saying, which is very apt. "They say that there is no such thing as
bad weather only bad clothing" Having been there, we have to agree with
them. There is no doubt about it that when you are correctly dressed, you will
not even notice that it is cold. The centre however provide a complete set of
Arctic Clothing to each client for use during the week.
