Itinerary & Costs 2005/6

 Day 1 (Sunday)

Depart from London Heathrow to Kittila in Finnish Lapland via Helsinki with Finnair

Transfer to Harriniva at Muonio

Evening meal with your group and then Overnight at a cottage near the centre

Day 2 (Monday)

After Breakfast the group visits the Husky Farm to get a few basic lessons in how to control the sled and the dogs. The sleds are then loaded in order that the group can depart immediately after lunch. The group then sets of to spend its first night out in a remote log cabin.

Day 3 (Tuesday) to 6 (Friday)

You will spend four nights out on the Safari, staying at a different cabin each night. The group returns to the centre during the afternoon of the 6th day (Friday). On returning to the centre you unpack the sleds and bed down the huskies for the last time. In the evening is a farewell dinner.

Day 7 (Saturday)

Breakfast - Transfer back to Kittila Airport for the return journey back to London.

CLOTHING

As you must realise, winter can be cold in Lapland, so everybody will be supplied with a complete set of suitable clothing for their stay, including a sleeping bag.

12-Day Trip with 9-days Husky Sledding

We are also able to offer a 12-day trip for experienced clients, that is an expedition from Muonio to Kilpisjarvi. This is a much smaller group being only 5 clients and a guide.

Nights are spent in either cabins or tents.

 Cost per Person is £ 2345 each
