It should be noted that some events may need to be booked in advance or are unsuitable for those under 17 (unless accompanied by a responsible adult). Where this is the case they are clearly marked.

Sun 1st Walk An 8 mile walk along the Stour
Valley from Dedham. Start at
10.15 with pub lunch / tea and
cakes at Flatford. Possible picnic
if weather is pleasant

Theatre
Shakespeare in Rendlesham
Forest. Note that you will need to
purchase your own ticket (£18) at

a specific location at 19.00 for

Sun 8th Cycle An easy paced cycle ride from St
Margarets Green (Ipswich) to
Felixstowe. Meet at 10.00 for
10.15 start. An opportunity to
swim in the sea should the
weather be nice.

Sat 14th Walk An 11 mile walk in the Thompson
area in the Norfolk Brecks. Meet
at 10.00 for 10.15 start at
Hockham Picnic Site. Excellent
pub for lunch and chance to visit
the famous Pingos (ice-age
ponds). Booking essential.

Sat 14th Proms An evening at Snape Proms to
see Taraf de Haidouks (Romanian
Gypsy Folk Group). Glenn can
co-ordinate tickets which cost £6
and meet at 19.00 for 19.30 start.

Fri 20th Cinema An opportunity to visit The Film
Theatre in Ipswich to view the
latest film (The Hurt Locker). Meet
in the Foyer at 19.10 with film
start time of 19.30. Tickets are £6
but need to be booked early as
theatre only holds 30. Drinks
afterwards as required

Sat 21st Walk Go Ape has been POSTPONED
until a future date in OCTOBER as
limited spaces were available
when booking enquiry made on
16th August

It is now REPLACED with a walk
of about 6 or 7 miles. Start from
Blaxhall Heath car park at 10.00.

Sun 29th Cycle Note the new meeting point

Meet at Brackenbury Fort in
Felixstowe at 10.00 for a 10.15
start. Car parking (if needed) is £3
for 8 hours. Cycle on both sides of
the River Deben via Newbourne,
Woodbridge and Sutton Heath
before boarding the Felixstowe
Ferry (£3.50). Please let the
organiser know you are coming
