Walk and overnight |
Take the 09.00 train from Ipswich to Halesworth, from which a 15 mile walk to Barsham on River Waveney. Overnight in a converted cowshed (or camp). An evening meal at the Locks Inn pub in nearby Geldeston (Norfolk). The following day walk 10 miles along the River Waveney to Oulton Broad (South) railway station and return on the train. The cost of the train is around £18 and the cowshed (with breakfast) is £16 with camping is available at the cheaper price of £4. |
