They arrive at the factory, in refrigerated containers, on the same day the fishermen land their catch. |

The whelks are immediately cooked, then packed fresh and delivered to the customers that day. Alternatively they can be blast frozen and kept in cold storage until they are require by the customer. |
The utmost care is taken to ensure the whelks leave the factory in perfect condition.
