Introduction

Situated at Broadstairs Railway Station, the Isle of Thanet Railway Society meets on Wednesday evenings at 19.00 in the former Parcels Office. There are several interest groups within the club. These include modelling, running stock, socialising and visiting other clubs or railway related sites. 

Model Railways

The club has several model railway layouts that are under construction; these are in order of gauge as follows:

• Walls End - O Gauge in coarse scale
• Broadgate - OO Gauge in fine scale
• Lydenthorpe - OO Gauge in coarse scale
• DriveYourOwn - OO Gauge coarse scale
• Bramleigh - N Gauge in coarse scale
• Modular - N Gauge in coarse scale
• 009 - 009 Gauge in coarse scale

There are also private layouts that are either under construction at the club or are displayed at exhibitions with the support of the society.

• High Peak - OO Gauge in fine scale
• Westwood Junction - N Gauge in coarse scale
