IPSWICH RHINOS 20 - 38 LUTON VIPERS

Ipswich capitalised on an early Luton error for Aven to score an unconverted try in under 2 minutes. Luton then pulled 2 points back with a penalty kick on 11 minutes. Ipswich extended their lead with a converted try on 17 minutes when Cook broke through the Luton defence. However with the introduction of O'Brien Luton started to move the ball around exploiting gaps in the Ipswich defence, particularly on the flanks.

Donnelly, Otte, Thomas and Lumley (2) all added unconverted tries to give Luton a 20-10 lead at half-time. Otte, Thomas and Duffy all added further tries for Luton during the second half . Ipswich scored further tries through Ryan Wood and on full time from Paul LeMarquand.
