IPSWICH
BACK TO WINNING WAYS
The Bellways homes sponsored Ipswich Rhinos made it three consecutive
home wins with a workmanlike performance at Rushmere last saturday.
Star of the eight try show was Glyn Thomas. He has been in sparkling
form of late and his three try display leaves him at the top of the
club scoring chart with 11 tries.
This Ipswich side have found form in the final quarter of the season
after a very difficult start and coach Steve Sudlow in his final game
in charge tomorrow has been rewarded for keeping the same squad of players
together all season. Both Pete and Paul Le Marquand scored tries along
with Andy Windridge, Harry Ackermann and Adam Welch. Dave Rodman Ben
Robinson and Jim Cashman scoring for Kingston.
Ipswich aim to complete the season with four wins from five matches
when St Albans arrive at Rushmere tomorrow(saturday)(2.30pm kick off).
The visitors have a faint mathematical chance of reaching the play offs.
They need to win by a tidy margin against an inform Ipswich side and
hope that south Norfolk slip up heavily away to national leaders Hemel
Hempstead.
On a big final day of the season for Ipswich the Rhinos under thirteen
squad make their home debut against the visiting St Albans Juniors kicking
off at 1.15pm. The whole day promises to be an exciting finale to an
eventful Rugby League Conference season.
