Bridie Willis and dancers from the Conor Academy of Irish Dancing made sure they were present to support for "A1GP Team Ireland" as they prepare for Brand Hatch 2008.
The A1GP Regent Street Pit Stop is an extravaganza of noise and colour, the likes of which has not been seen before in the centre of the capital. Not only will the cars line up on a dummy grid, but they will also be attended by team personnel who can explain exactly what it means to race in the series. The day provided a taste of what is to come the following weekend when the cars move to the Brands Hatch circuit in Kent for the final round of the series – A1GP Brands Hatch, Great Britain 02-04 May 2008.

The London event in Lower Regent Street kicked off at 11am with an opening speech by Sir Simon Milton, Leader of Westminster City Council, who then welcomed everyone to a day of fun and entertainment as the A1GP car fired up its engine. The schedule was packed with driver appearances as well as special guests, all of whom will be interviewed on a central stage, including Team Ireland Principal Mark Gallagher, Driver Adam Carroll and, of course, Bridie Willis with Irish dancers from the Conor Academy of Irish Dancing.
Belmayne A1 Team Ireland head to Brands Hatch in the UK on 3rd / 4th May 2008 for the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport season finale, with Adam Carroll hoping to secure a top-six championship position. The famous racing circuit is the closest Team Ireland has to a home race with Irish fans turning out in force last season, Adam will be hoping to give them something to celebrate on 4th May by ending the season on the top step of the podium. Ireland is currently the form team in the series having scored more points in the last two races than any other nation, so expectations are high.

The legendary Grand Prix track is a fierce undulating circuit with fast sweeping corners, several of which have blind exits, presenting a challenge to the drivers. With experience on the circuit from his Formula 3 days Adam is primed for action as Team Ireland prepare to take on 21 nations for the final time, in what is shaping up to be a thrilling end to the 2007/08 season.
Bridie Willis, TCRG, the Tutor and Artistic Director of the Conor Academy said, “It's great to be able to have the opportunity to share the big stage with Belmayne A1 Team Ireland and to send them on their way to Brands Hatch with the best of Irish luck. It's also nice for my dancers to be have this wonderful experience".

Bridie and the Conor Academy is thriving in Croydon and Streatham and continues to perform at local events too; School fetes; church fayres; nursing homes and hospitals; local authority family days; shopping centres; weddings receptions; birthday parties; 1st Holy Communions and even a funeral.
The Academy is also very proud to be represented by its pupils at the British National Championships; the Great Britain Championships and the Southern England Qualifying Championships. Pupils have also performed at the World Irish Dancing Championships - a very proud moment.
