The Conor Academy of Irish Dancing

The Conor Academy of Irish Dancing were delighted to be invited to the Midlands to represent the Irish community of the UK, to perform at the Alton Towers entertainment theme park, during September 2000.

The event was part of the SkyDigital "Summer Party" extravaganza, where each Sky channel were asked to provide material for the show. Tara Television and the Conor Academy teamed up and took the stage for several slots during the day, providing both exhibitions of traditional Irish step dancing and some 'surprise' tuition for unsuspecting members of the public.

Bridie Willis TCRG, the Tutor and Artistic Director of the Conor Academy said, "It was great to take the opportunity to work with both Sky-Digital and Tara-Television. We had a ball".

The show was filmed for later broadcast on Tara Television, so stay tuned to see the final picture...
