Enabling JavaScript

JavaScript Settings

Windows Users

Internet Explorer 5.x and Above

  1. From the browser's Tools menu select "Internet Options".
  2. Select the Security tab.
  3. Select the "Internet" icon from the list of zones at the top of the Security tab.
  4. Click the "Custom Level" button. This will display the Security Settings dialog box.
  5. Scroll down the Settings list to the Scripting item (you may need to double-click on icons to expand the lists).
  6. Under the "Active Scripting" select the "Enable" radio button.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click Yes to confirm the change. This will then close the Security Settings dialog window.
  9. Click OK to close the Internet Options dialog window.
  10. Refresh the current web page.

Firefox 1.5.x and 2.0.x

  1. From the browser's Tools menu select Options.
  2. Select the Content icon at the top of the Options dialog window.
  3. Check the box for Enable JavaScript.
  4. Click OK to close the Options dialog window.
  5. Refresh the current web page.

Opera 8.x and 9.x

  1. From the browser's Tools menu select Quick Preferences.
  2. Check the box for Enable JavaScript.
  3. Refresh the current web page.

Netscape 8.x

  1. From the browser's Tools menu select Options.
  2. Under the Security and Privacy category select the Site Controls icon.
  3. Select the Site List tab.
  4. Inside the Web Feature group, check the box for "Enable JavaScript/VBScript".
  5. Click OK to close the Options dialog box.
  6. Refresh the current web page.

Netscape 7.x

  1. From the browser's Edit menu select Preferences.
  2. Within the Category list double-click the Advanced item.
  3. Select the item Scripts & Plugins.
  4. Under the section Enable JavaScript for, check the box for Navigator.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Refresh the current web page.

MAC Users

Internet Explorer 5.x

  1. From the browser's Explorer menu select Preferences.
  2. Click the arrow next to Web Browser.
  3. Select Web Content.
  4. Under Active Content check the box for Enable Scripting.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Refresh the current web page.

Firefox 1.5.x and 2.0.x

  1. From the Firefox menu select Options.
  2. Select the Content icon at the top of the Options dialog window.
  3. Check the box for Enable JavaScript.
  4. Click OK to close the Options dialog window.
  5. Refresh the current web page.

Opera 9.x

  1. From the Firefox menu select Quick Preferences.
  2. Check the box for Enable JavaScript.
  3. Refresh the current web page.

Safari 1.x and 2.x

  1. From the Safari menu select Preferences.
  2. Select the Security icon.
  3. Under the Web Content options check the box for Enable JavaScript.
  4. Click OK and close the Preferences dialog to save your changes.
  5. Refresh the current web page.
