Changing Presentation
It is possible to adjust the text size and colours used by your browser to change the appearance of a web site. See the WAI's (Web Accessibility Initiative's) instructions on how to change text size or colours for details.
Alternatively, if you have both JavaScript and Cookies enabled in your browser you can select one of the options below to change the appearance of the site. See the box-out in the sidemenu for your browser settings.
The Terms of Use explain how cookies are implemented by this site.
Navigation Aids
Identifying Links
All links are underlined to distinguish them from text. Colour is used to determine whether you have already viewed a particular link. Initially links are blue and underlined. If you are unsure what is a link, placing your mouse pointer over the text will change it to red and underlined. Once you've visited a particular page, all links to that page change to purple and underlined.
The Breadcrumb Trail
A breadcrumb trail is included at the top of the page, which shows where you are within the hierarchy of the site.
Skipping Navigation
When using a non-visual browser the Skip to Main Content link will allow you to bypass repeated navigation links.
Access Keys
Access keys enable you to navigate a site using your keyboard. As no global standard for accesskeys currently exists I have opted to use the UK Government access keys standard.
