My name is Peter Hawkey and I live in the North East of Scotland, not far from Peterhead. I'm 41 and a bit and married. That's the formalities over with now let me tell you something about my site.
I love music and play the flute reasonably, the guitar OK, the saxophone badly, the piano execrably and the Northumbrian bagpipes pretty much as you would expect. My main musical loves though are traditional music (mainly of the UK and Ireland) and classical music, particularly of the 19th and 20th century. So this site will have pages dedicated to my various musical interests. Follow this link to find midi files, ABC tunes and GIF files of some of my own music.
I am chairman of the Ugie Folk Club which meets on the first Friday of every month at the Crichie Inn in Stuartfield so there's some pages on this and other folk club things.
I hope to update this site once a month or so, or when the mood takes me. Feel free to browse around and drop me a note telling me about yourself. If you play traditional music send me some of your own tunes and I'll add them to the site.
