Talk in the Media is that the present Leeds United squad with its high quota of Foreign Loan players , just isn't good enough to survive in the Premier League .Not only has Peter Reid failed to have any success with these players but it is widely thought that even the likes of Alex Ferguson would struggle to get results with this present crop of players .
Hold on though , surely this is not an impossible task i thought .Despite all the comings and goings (more goings than comings) we still have enough decent players within the squad, to at least finish in the top half of the table.
With this in mind i have decided to simulate a season managing the current squad to try and prove that it is possible to obtain a respectable position in the Premiership, away from the threat of relegation .I will be using the excellent PC game Championship Manager 4 to act out the season and see if it is possible to improve on our current nightmare scenario .
People who are familiar with this particular game will know that the new version has an impressive 2D engine which enables the user to witness which players have performed like heroes and those who have been idling around the pitch , with their thoughts obviously elsewhere ,(so watch out Mark Viduka ).
