1932 Talbot 14/45
Sale Information
The renovation (1993) cost around £15,000 including the cost of the derelict @ £1,250. Approx 2000 hours of the writer's time and that of his two sons was invested with the intention of bringing the car up to a high quality (if not concours) finish. With careful use, it should be good for another 70 years without a major refit. It still looks like new underneath.
There is a lively owners club known as the 'STD', Sunbeam Talbot Darraq with about 500 members. The 14/45 comes in many guises, so finding spare parts is not difficult; indeed, a new (original) part was fitted in the rebuild! There are two specialist Talbot business' in the East of England, namely
