John has over 100 plays to his credit, including new works and revivals. He has directed many UK premieres of American works, including the work of Marsha Norman and Beth Henley, has been a force in encouraging new writing, commissioning many new pieces and working closely with writers such as Jeff Young and Terry Wale.
