January 2005
On August the 16th last year West Country Trout, like so many other buisness in and arround Boscastle, ceased to exist. Not only did all the stock disapear off to the Atlantic, but an estimated 100 tons of water a second running at 30mph completely swamped the farm destroying half the ponds completely and washing away all the farm equipment as well as scouring away whole chunks of valley.
Since then we have been franticaly digging and rebuilding the farm with the help of a large number of friends and volunteers. That job is now finished and WCT is up and running, fully restocked and open for buisness. Photos of the rebuild and the disaster will appear in due course. For the time being I would like to thank the following for helping us above and beyond that which friendship and comradeship dictate; Tom Harding,Chris Musser, the USAF, Elizabeth Buchanan and her office, my students, South West Water PLC , RABI, The Boscastle Flood Appeal and all the other friends and  relatives who have helped us.

On a practical note we currently have for sale; 1oz, 4oz, 11oz,1lb and 1.5 lb to 2lb rainbow trout. We also have a few Boscastle Blue trout  and even fewer brown trout.
    Until next month - Justin
