David Morton (Larbert) Ltd. will work towards compatibility between the environment and the processes and products of their operations.
We will take those practical steps necessary to prevent at source or abate adverse impacts on the environment that may result from our operations and processes.
Continuing programs
will be developed and maintained for the reduction of energy consumption,
wastes and emissions from our operations and for making more efficient
use of raw material resources. We will strive for sustainable development
in these areas.
In recognizing our
responsibilities and in implementing this policy we will:
Review all new acquisitions for environmental impact and find practical solutions to any foreseen adverse effects.Continually review environmental performance against set improvement objectives and ensure compliance with legislation and company policy.
Selectively seek to minimize and/or eliminate process and other wastes through efficiency improvements and recycling opportunities.
Develop environmental awareness and responsibility in all personnel through communication and briefing.
Communicate environmental objectives and plans to employees and customers.
Maintain effective emergency prevention and preparedness systems and ensure that employees are adequately trained to deal with incidents of environmental consequence.
Continually re-evaluate risks to the environment and undertake improvement action where weaknesses are found.
