Abridged Health & Safety Policy


Health & Safety Statement

It is the intention of David Morton (Larbert) Ltd. that the Company shall achieve the highest possible standards in the areas of Health & Safety Management. The Company will carry out all works in accordance with the relevant statutory provisions and all reasonably practicable measures shall be taken to avoid risks to its employees or others who may be affected by its operations.

Implementation Measures

To comply with the above Statement the following measures will be taken: -

Management and Supervisory staff will have the responsibility for implementing this policy throughout the Company and must ensure that Health & Safety considerations are always given priority in planning day-to-day supervision of work.

All employees and sub-contractors must co-operate with the Company in carrying out this policy and must ensure that their own work, so far as is reasonably practical, is carried out without risk to themselves or others.

The management and staff of the Company will monitor the operation of this Policy. To assist in this respect the Company will appoint a Safety Officer to visit sites and workplaces and to give advice on the requirements of the relevant statutory provisions and safety matters generally.

This statement of Company policy will be displayed prominently at all sites and workplaces.

Regular communication meetings will be held with the workforce to ensure that all employees have a full understanding of their role in achieving this goal. This will take the form of Toolbox Talks.

Regular audits will be carried out to assess the effectiveness of the above in achieving a safer working environment and undertake improvement action where any weaknesses are found.
