V8 Capri:

After doing an original Capri, I fancied a go at a scarier Capri. Many thanks to Caprisport for their invaluable instruction manual, the exhaust headers and brakes.

There are good V8 Conversion pages at Capri Racing and Swift Auto Design So here are a few photos of what I've done. Click on the photos to view a larger picture. 

November 2004 Update

Rolling Road Test ( 190bhp, Not bad at all)

 

Before: 

Bought a pair of engines and this one needed little more than a clean up and new piston rings, hardly any wear in bores. Made some engine mounts out of an old towbar.
Caprisport GTR260 Brakes - Excellent.

A bit of a mess after removing radiator mounts.

Time to put the engine in:

Need to cut tunnel to get LT77 gearbox to fit.

But the console still fits to maintain a stock look interior.

Battery needed to move to the boot.

Propshaft from Scholar engines.
