Sancturay Wood Belgium
The surrounding 'hills' take their names from their height above sea level
Shortly after the war the family who currently own the land here purchased it and preserved the
trench systems and opened them to the public

Even in dry weather wellington boots are a must !

The small museum here has a unique collection of French 3D images of life in the trenches
Be advised that younger pupils may find these historic images traumatic
Students need to be briefed in advance before viewing them

Original photographs and artifacts are 'arranged' in no particular order
(Think 'junk yard' and you will get a good idea of the arrangement principles behind the displays)
