News Update

• I visited West Calder cemetery during August 2002 and I am currently working on an update to the webpages about the Great War memorials there. This should appear sometime before Christmas 2002.
• Thank you to the steady stream of visitors worldwide who have visited the site and provided more information about West Calder and the Great War.
• I recently paid a visit to the Kirk of Calder in Mid Calder and took some photographs of the war memorial there. There are 51 names on the memorial in the church - again showing the impact that the conflict had on these small communities.
• I am also looking into publishing a small booklet containing the text from this website about the history of West calder during the Great War. Watch this space - a lot depends on costs.
• The site is also badly in need of a 'make-over'.I am working with Dreamweaver and present - so watch this space !
