Joyce - In loving memory of Pte Patrick Joyce, Connaught Rangers, who was drowned on April 15th, 1917; also Pte James Corrigan, Royal Scots, who died of wounds received in action on October 20th, 1914.
Oh ! How hard it was we had to part From ones we dearly loved; But there's a thought that charms our heart That we shall meet above.
Then let our sorrows cease to flow, God has recalled His own. And let our hearts in every woe Still say "Thy will be done"
Inserted by his sister, Mrs Patrick Joyce Midlothian Advertiser, November 2nd, 1917
