The Trench Experience
Planning and Research
The Trench was based on the notebooks of the great grandfather of a pupil.
2nd Lt Eric Coventry fought and died in the First World War.
In 1915 he attended a training course at Troon in Ayrshire.
He kept a notebook with sketches from the lessons there.
There are sketches about trench building.
We will use this and material from the Wreford-Brown collection to plan and build our trench.
