"We regret to announce the death of Lieut. Charles Brady, which took place at his residence at 10 West End, West Calder, early on Sunday morning, at the age of 52 years.
Lieut. Brady caught a chill in the month of May when engaged in recruiting work, and he was home on a month's sick leave.
When he returned to duty he appeared to have benefited from the rest, but last month his illness returned, and after being about three weeks at home he gradually sank, and passed away as stated."
