Cris and Matt's Pie Appreciation Page

Hello! We are expert connoisseurs of gourmet pies. We spend most of our time sampling some of the finest pies from around the world. Only yesterday, we were in Scumthorp's own pie production plant, testing their new range, Blue Whale and Cow. Unfortunately, we got so carried away with those delicious pies, they ran out! Oh well, never mind, there's plenty more pies left for us to eat elsewhere. Probably.
As our main interest is pies, we thought we would share some of our expert knowledge with all you budding pie eaters.
What Is A Pie?
This is a question which has been on the minds of Pie Fans for years. It is only recently, thanks to the latest laser technology, that a solution has been found. So here is a definition:

Some Of Our Favourite Recipies:
Our Pie Page wouldn't be complete without a few delicious recipies of some of our favourite pies. So get those printers ready and bake some pies!
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Heat oil in medium skillet over medium high heat until hot.Add beef and onion;cook and stir until beef is browned. Drain
In small bowl, combine gravy, cornstarch, pepper and ketchup;mix well. Add to beef in skillet.Stir in vegetables. Cook 6 to 8 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender stirring joccasionally. Spoon mixture into 2 ungreased 10 oz ovenproof custard cups ;or ramekins. Place filled cups in shallow baking pan.
Remove dough from can in rolled section;do not unroll. Cut roll into 8 slices; cut each in half crossswise to make 16 pieces. Arrange 7 pieces, curved side up, around outside edge of hot mixture in each custard cup, pressing in slightly; place 1` piece in center of each.
Bake at 375 for 15 to 20 minutres or until pot pies are bubbly and rolls are deep brown.
*** Pour 1/2 cup boiling water over shortening, sugar and salt. Mix. Add evaporated milk. Cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup lukewarm water. Add to cooled mixture with well beaten egg. Stir in 2 cups of flour. Beat then add 1-3/4 cups more flour (enough to make soft dough). Place in greased bowl and grease top of dough; cover with wax paper and chill until ready to use. Roll to 1/4", fill with favorite filling; seal with a fork and fry at 360°F until brown.
Do not let dough rise before frying!
