Starry Eyed and Laughing were a band from the early 1970s with strong Byrds and American West Coast influences. They released two LPs on CBS in 1974 and 1975, the first, an eponymous LP and the second called "Thought Talk". During this time, the line up of Starry Eyed and Laughing was: |

Line up changes inevitably occurred, though; bassist Iain Whitmore left the band to pursue solo interests, and Roger Kelly (subsequently of the Streetband) was drafted in on lead guitar replacing Ross McGeeney. Another bassist, Steve Lewis, performed on the singles "Saturday" and "On The Radio" which were produced by Flo and Eddie. I am periodically in touch with Tony Poole who has remastered and reissued Starry Eyed And Laughing's back catalogue (as a double CD with extras) in a collection entitled That Was Now and This Is Then, so if anyone surfs on in and would like a copy, please contact aurora_music@hotmail.com Tony is also working on an official Starry Eyed And Laughing website. |
