STARRY EYED AND LAUGHING (CBS 80450).

Their florid name is taken from the first line of the last verse of a Bob Dylan song called “Chimes Of Freedom” and the bands gets its inspiration from The Byrds, sounding a lot like their non-feathered friends. The album has a sixties, laid back sound with some spry-light toons, reminding one of sunny days and corn laden country fields. Pleasant sing-song on the loo type stuff, courtesy of Tony Poole (vocals, guitar); Ross McGeeney (vocals, lead guitar); Iain Whitmore (vocals, bass); Michael Wackford (Drums, percussion). Cheers, smilers.
