You have to admit, the cover on this book is
more than slightly off putting. But underneath the pages lurks some
extremely useful information. One of the biggest bonus' to book I've
found to date is the information on creating your own Microsoft Visual C++
App Wizards. Also, Dino includes further reference numbers to the
Microsoft Knowledge base which provide more information on the types of
problems this book aims to solve. Topics included are:-
- What is the windows shell?
- The structure of the shell
- Working with File (File Name Mapping Objects, Long Filenames,
SHFileOperation()
- Investigating the nature of files
- Browsing for folders
- PIDL, Special Folders
- Shortcuts, Resolving Shortcuts, Creating Shortcuts
