| Frankfurt was the first place I travelled to in 2003 all on my own, for a job interview at a German Bank. Having got a cheap flight for only 99pence from Ryan Air, I paid more in parking fees than the flight. Turns out theirs two airports in in Frankfurt, their Hahn and main Frankfurt. I was about 150km for where I needed to be. However the public transport was available, cheap and reliable. The people I found on the whole to be friendly, some spoke a little English, others simply chose not to, but I arrived at my hotel safely. One of the things that stuck in my mind was the amount of graffiti in Frankfurt itself. Having met my potential employers I discovered they had a great sense of humour and was offered the job on the spot. The 48 hours was hectic and my memories of Germany are of airports, hotels and autobahn's.
