Travel

If I had to choose what I enjoy most about life, travelling would be very near the top of the list. If I had the time or money, I would like to visit nearly every country in the world. I am partly achieving this at the moment by (almost) going to a different country every year for my holiday.

I love watching travel programs on TV and reading books about travel. I particularly enjoying meeting people from other countries. When I go on holiday, the people I am with complain that I spend most of my time talking to the local people and not to my friends.

My favorite places so far are Kenya and Siberia. In 1990 I went to Kenya for four week with the Scouts and helped build a local medical clinic. In 1997 I did the Trans-Siberian railway, one of the best things I have ever done.
