The HSJB have been playing together for just over a year. In that time we have played for conferences at Barton Grange Hotel, weddings at Brackenbank Lodge and Leighton Hall, concerts at St. Mary's church Kirkby Lonsdale and shortly at the Heron Theatre at Beetham. We have also played for charity events at Haughton Manor Hotel and the Marriot Hotel at Broughton and for formal sequence and ballroom dancing at the Victoria Hall, Grange and at Arnside. In addition, we play 'Chicago style' jazz regularly at three venues, the Tea Rooms at Carnforth Station, Pebbles Restaurant and the Pier Hotel in Morecambe.

 We were privileged to play throughout the day at the opening of the new Barton Grange Garden Centre by HRH, the Princess Royal.

 The band's repertoire includes music from the jazz era of New Orleans and Chicago, swing and vo-de-o-do from the Thirties and music from Broadway Musicals and Hollywood films.

 We perform sometimes with small combos of two or three musicians up to a seven piece band. We have three excellent singers within the band as well as a female vocalist.
