From 1989-1995 I ran a film production company in Bude I filmed many Jazz bands in and around the West Country including the Bude Jazz Festival. I produced some great compilation and individual band videos. With the new technology I have been able to digitally re-mix the videos to produce excellent quality DVDs. I have recently moved house and have had to dispose of a number of treasured possessions. However, I couldn't bring myself to throw away around 175 Jazz 78 rpm records on the tip. there must be some collectors around who would treasure them, and hopefully play them. Looking through my lists there are records by Sidney Bechet, Jelly Roll Morton, Mezz Mezzrow, Tommy Ladnier., Mezzrow-Ladnier Quintet, Bunk Johnson, Johnny Dodds, ODJB, Red McKenzie, Muggsy Spanier, Phil Napolian, Kid Ory, Albert Ammons, Louis Armstrong, Eddie Lang, New Orleans Wanderers, King Oliver, Bessie Smith, The Chocolate Dandies, Dixieland Thumpers, Original Dixieland Five, Lovie Austin, NORK, The Wolverines, Red Allen, Jimmy Noon, etc., etc. Many more vintage performers on original 78's. These were collected over the years before vinyl. They are going cheap and can be collected in Preston where they are in secure storage at the moment. If anyone has specific wants I would like to deal with them first and then if all the really good ones and rare examples go I would then like to offer the rest as a lot, or lucky dip.
