Kaytie Harding B.Ed (Hons) CTABRSM

Dedicated Voice Trainer

A professional singer, choral director and member of the Natural Voice Practitioners Network (www.naturalvoice.net)

Kaytie splits her time fairly evenly between numerous projects.

The most rewarding project she works on is teaching people to sing who always thought they couldn't. Her short courses include Singing For the Terrified, Karaoke Singing, Gospel Singing, Singing technique, The You Factor (working with Shy Teenagers using singing as a tool to unlock confidence and self esteem) and soon to come Singing in the Bath (exploring acoustics and the wonderful enhancing effects on the voice!).

In collaboration with Training Consultant Paul Armer, she runs singing workshops (cunningly disguised as communication and presentation skills) within the corporate sector (Voiceworks).

Who Dares Sings is a choir of women who once thought they couldn’t sing. They now perform regularly, raising money for the local children’s hospice (Chestnut Tree House) and are loving every opportunity they have to sparkle (literally – tiara’s, fab shoes, feather boas, pink stuff!) Their repertoire is eclectic in the extreme, from Queen to Cantiones, Carl Jenkins to Wilson Pickett, Madonna to Henry VIII.

Other choral groups include Monday group (can’t think of a name yet!) a mixed voice group who sing for fun; WDSKidz (children of the members) and soon to come Who Dares Hims (boy band for grown ups!).

Kaytie teaches privately.

Kaytie and Who Dares Sings direct and organise the Barns Green Music Festival.

Professional Singer

The Shout is an 16 voice a capella group specialising in contemporary classical/fusion music. With singers from operatic, gospel, jazz, choral, world music and classical Indian traditions, the sound is completely bonkers and utterly addictive. Music is by Orlando Gough (Musical Director), Richard Chew and members of the group.Kaytie also sings with London Voices generally concerts like Georgy Ligeti's Requiem with Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra in Berlin and Lord of the Rings Soundtracks. She has also worked with London Sinfonietta Voices at the Queen Elizabeth Hall performing Berio's Laborintus 2. Real conversation starters are the soundtracks of ‘Gangs of New York’, ’Star Wars’, ‘Lord of the Rings’ and a few others not interesting enough to mention.

There have been lots of recordings as a backing vocalist, the coolest being with Harvey from So Solid Crew - but they didn't release it and he was never heard from again!
