For some years
now Goosander have been growing in numbers throughout the whole of the
Border rivers catchments.
Many Trout
anglers feel that they are much to blame for the downturn in fish
numbers over the last few years. Although a license to cull a limited
number of birds on the main tweed is granted annually ,many clubs feel
that unless more attention is given to the smaller tributaries and
streams Brown trout numbers will fall beyond recovery.
This club and
others plan to lobby the Scottish Government to take notice of this ,and
to take action to remedy the case.
If you would like
to assist in this action please download the letter
here, sign and send it to the
address provided.
This club will
not endorse the illegal killing of any bird , it will only lobby for
protection of Wild brown trout.
Thank you for
your help . |
