Tactical Test

There is more to Air Attack than just turning towards the enemy and shooting, you'll have to be much more devious than that if you're going to get stars. This is a multple choice test desiged to guage your knowledge of flight tactics in Air Attack. For each question assume that your opponents are all skilled, experience pilots.

Question 1

You are in a 4 squadron match and all your wingmen have either been shot or retreated. Then you spot two enemy planes dogfighting below you. Neither seems to have an advantage but one of them is smoking. Do you:

Dive in and attack the smoking plane.
Dive in and attack the other plane.
Circle above them until a victor emerges then dive in.

Question 2

You are in a P51 going head to head with a LA-7. Do you:

Roll while pulling up on the stick so that your sights loop round his plane.
Take a quick snap shot just as you come into range to take out his WEP then roll as above.
Fire like mad.

Question 3

You have just destroyed your target to find that an enemy is just swooping down tight on to your tail. Do you:

Break hard to the left or right.
Pull up and hope he goes straight under you.
Cut the engine and extend flaps.

Question 4

In a team game your target is smoking and is coming into one of the corners of his base. You can easily finish him off but only by entering the Anti Aircraft fire. Do you:

Let him go and regroup.
Shoot him then get out of the AA fire as fast as possible.
Take out the nearest AA gun then shoot him.

Question 5

You are in a Spitfire and are diving down vertically on a Me109. When you are 5500 feet above him he pulls up to meet you head-to-head. Do you:

Pull up.
Keep going.
Go into an evasive roll around his sights.

Question 6

You are in a team game and as you are taking off you notice a bogey 7000 feet above your base. Do you:

Ignore him and head for the nearest enemy close to the ground.
Fly straight to get away from him and your bases as fast as possible.
Fly round inside the perimeter of your base and keep an eye on him.

Question 7

In a team game you are in a circling dogfight between two runways your opponent appears to be out turning you. Do you:

Keep circling and wait for a team mate to help you.
Head for home while performing evasive manouvers.
Cut the engine, extend flaps and try to outbrake him.
