Programmes The Society will be pleased to help you plan your programme. This may take the form of suggestions for your visit, but it can also include bookings for your party and arranging help for you from local experts - for which there may be a charge. The area is well suited for a wide range of educational projects. Historians and geographers can make profitable use of the Mill site as well as studying the achievements of Sir Richard Arkwright. The transport system in the Derwent Valley offers interesting research as do local settlements like Matlock Bath and Wirksworth and their associated industries. |

There is much scope for other aspects of the curriculum; for the biologist detailed study of the natural environment; for the technologist and designer the uses of water power and the development of the associated machinery; and for the artist the stimulus of contrasting landscapes. |

| Booking Your Visit To make a booking please telephone or fax the Arkwright Society so that you can check the availability of the dates you have in mind. A provisional booking form will then be supplied which you complete and return. At the same time we will send you any other literature you require such as details of our Venture Centre Attractions, Educational programmes and the Centre Handbook. The Venture Centre is supported by a number of corporate and charitable sponsors who make funds available to sponsor appropriate groups using the Centre. If you feel your group may qualify for such support please mention this when you make your first enquiry. The Cost The costs per person are:
